My Top 4 Podcast Recommendations

Listening to Podcasts has quickly become one of my favorite parts of my morning routine. Whether I need a daily dose of motivation, something to calm my mind, or am simply looking to learn something new in the health and wellness space, there is a podcast episode to fit every morning.

I typically listen while I workout in the morning. A podcast and an early morning walk outside is the free therapy I never knew I needed! I also like to listen while I get ready in the morning, on long car rides, flights or whenever I’m doing something mindless and looking for a little entertainment.

While the podcasts I listen to have changed over the years, I have a handful that I’m currently listening to that I truly love and wanted to pass along. Keep reading for my top 4 podcast recommendations. I hope you love them too!

Best Overall Podcast

While some podcasts have come and gone from my life, one has remained consistent over the years: The Skinny Confidential – Him & Her. This is one of the OG podcasts and I’ve loved to watch the content evolve over the years, fortunately in a manner similar to how my own life has evolved. Lauryn Evarts Bosstick, along with her husband, Michael Bosstick, is the queen of getting into the nitty gritty details with her guests. She knows what her listeners are interested in hearing and asks all the right questions. And no topic is off limits! I promise you will catch yourself laughing out loud listening to this show.

The reason this podcast wins my spot for Best Overall Podcast is because the content is so diversified. One day they are interviewing a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills and the next episode they are talking with a leading health guru. Again, depending on your current mood, there is absolutely an episode for you. And as I mentioned, the content has shifted over the years. Gone are the days of talking about weight loss and fad diets. Now, the podcast features a ton of guests who specialize in the gut microbiome, mental health and other wellness trends. The couple also just welcomed their second baby so there are plenty of pregnancy, post-partum and mommy tips sprinkled in.

What’s also great, is this podcast introduced me to so many other amazing podcasts including The Art of Being Well and the Ed Mylett Show, both of which made my list of best podcasts below!

Best Podcast for Mental Health

Where do I begin! Gabby Bernstein of the Dear Gabby podcast is quite literally your therapist on demand. Gabby’s show is audience based where listeners can call in, ask questions and she offers advice on how to use manifestation, grounding, meditation, your own instinct and trust in the universe to live the life you desire. Each episode has a theme making it easy to find an episode that speaks to you on a given day. Gabby is a best-selling author, and she uses the practices from her books when counseling people on the show. Gabby is also very open about her struggles with depression and journey through therapy which makes her, and the show, feel especially authentic. If you’re feeling lost, stuck, unmotivated, anxious or are looking for spiritual guidance, I highly recommend you give Dear Gabby a try. She offers the daily dose of positivity you didn’t realize your life was missing.

Best Health & Wellness Podcast

For the health and wellness guru’s among us, you are going to LOVE Will Cole and the The Art of Being Well. You might recognize his name from his best-selling books The Inflammation Spectrum and Ketotarian, or because he’s one of Gwyneth Paltrow’s best friends. Will Cole, on his podcast The Art of Being Well, dives into the deep end on all things gut health, nutrition, the gut-brain connection and how to use food as medicine. He is a health practitioner, with his own telehealth practice, focused on healing patients suffering from autoimmunity, inflammation, mold exposure, hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies and so much more. He shares real life examples from patients that his practice has served and offers tangible solutions to his listeners who are going through their own health struggles.

I’ve learned so much about my own health and nutrition listening to this podcast and would highly recommend it to anyone who is on their own journey to better health. Also, I wrote a whole other post on his book, The Inflammation Spectrum. Check it out here! This book helped change my health and I hope it will do the same for you.

Best Feel-Good Podcast

If you need a reason to smile, you need to tune into the Ed Mylett Show. Ed Mylett is a best-selling author and motivational speaker. Listening to his show is like inviting Tony Robbins into your home to hang out for the day. Every word that comes out of Ed’s mouth will leave you feeling motivated and empowered to live life to your fullest potential.

But not in a cheesy way. Ed doesn’t sugar coat things. He calls listeners out on their self-sabotaging behaviors while offering tangible ideas to achieve the life he knows they are capable and deserving of living. I found Ed Mylett through the Skinny Confidential Him & Hers podcast. In fact, I think he’s the only guest that has been invited back to the show 4 TIMES. He’s that good.

While I have yet to read any of Ed’s books (planning to pick a few up soon!) he shares a lot of examples and lessons learned from the books during the show. If you are looking for inspiration, motivation or simply want some encouraging, feel-good energy in your life, tune into the Ed Mylett Show. You won’t regret it!
